Are there any hidden fees? You say your service is FREE – how does Nautical Holidays get paid?

Our prices are standardized and set by the yacht owner and are the same price that the charter operator offers to the public. We act as an independent yacht charter broker, matching your specific requirements to the ideal yacht and crew. There are standard practices established by the Luxury Yacht Industry to protect all parties involved in the process. Our fees are covered by the Yacht Owner.  This commission covers our work in finding them customers and taking care of all questions, paperwork, and payments – the price we propose to you is the best price you'll receive. 

How can I be sure the Yacht will be in excellent condition?

All charter companies must adhere to the local maritime laws and regulations; these strict standards serve as your first and most critical assurance of condition.

At Nautical Holidays, we go the extra mile to make sure your yacht experience is excellent.  We have years of industry experience and have taken the time out to establish a personal relationship with the captain, crew and yacht. We tour as many yachts as possible on a regular basis. For years we have attended most of the Charter Industry shows and we seek feedback from all of our clients, reviewing our closely guarded list of the most exceptional yachts and only adding or keeping the very best on our approved roster.

Does the charter get cancelled if it rains?

No. The charter proceeds as scheduled but guests will remain indoors, similar to a hotel, restaurant or catering venue. 

In the event of rain, how does the yacht accommodate a Wedding Ceremony?

Every yacht offers different design features and the alternative should be discussed during your viewing of the vessel.

Can I purchase trip cancellation insurance?

On Term or Vacation charters, this option is available at additional expense.

How many guests can the yacht hold for a party?

It depends on the yacht and assigned Coast Guard License. At this time, the vessels we represent can accommodate one person to 1200-guests.

What type of menus are available? Can the vessel offer formal service as well as buffet?

Every yacht is different but they all have their individual Chef and Banquet Team. Some yachts can accommodate buffets or cocktail style menus better than formal dinners. These questions should be fully detailed at time of your inquiry, during the vessel selection process. We always try to ascertain your specific expectations and match you with the perfect yacht and crew for your needs.

What if one of my guests has food allergies?

We will address this issue with the Chef assigned to your yacht and together determine the best course of action. In many cases the Chef can prepare a special meal.

Can you accommodate Kosher, Halal and Indian cuisine?

Yes – though once again, it depends on the yacht and Chef. We have many expert off-premise caterers, who are well respected and known for their ability to provide such specific menu requirements.
